Littering
The intentional abandonment of waste on and around the grounds is prohibited. Please help us keep the area clean for the sake of the environment and the other Faire attendees.
Language
Offensive and harmful language will not be tolerated. Guests who use abusive or offensive gestures or language will be escorted off the premises.
Actions
Abusive actions and offensive or belligerent behaviours are prohibited, as well as any behaviour that goes against the safety guidelines found in this list. The use or possession of illegal substances will result in banishment, and the proper authorities will be contacted. Smoking and alcohol are not permitted within the Faire grounds.
Harassment
We do not tolerate harassment of any kind, in keeping with the British Columbia definitions found on the government website.
Dress Guidelines
Guests are required to dress appropriately for the event, with the understanding that nudity, offensive language and images are not permitted at the event in order to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all. Guests in violation of this standard may be asked to change or clothe themselves, escorted off the site, or refused entry. For safety reasons, shoes should be worn at all times.
Treatment of Actors
Wandering actors will be available for interaction within the Renaissance Faire boundaries. They will be wearing wings and have red, blue, yellow, or green sashes with leaves, snowflakes, rising suns, or flowers painted on them. Please feel free to interact with them, but keep in mind the following:
Do not, under any circumstances, touch the actors.
Please be mindful of their time: if there are others waiting to interact, limit your conversation to a minute or two and come back later.
If you see someone you know is an actor but who is NOT wearing a sash, they are on break. Please respect their break time and give them space.
We are happy to accommodate the physical needs of any disabled guests attending the event to the best of our ability. Please reach out if your needs are not covered here.
Limited seating is available at certain areas of the event, but we recommend bringing blankets to place on the ground, or folding chairs if able, for guests that may need frequent rest.
Washrooms are accessible to mobility aids. Gender neutral washrooms are not available at the Renaissance Faire area.
Disability parking is available.

Supervision of Minors
Underage attendees should be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian. Attendees 14 or under must be accompanied by an adult in order to enter the event. The staff may ask to see the legal identification of any guest they believe to be an unaccompanied minor. While this event is not primarily for children, we are committed to making the event safe for families and guests of all ages.
Urgent Instances of Lost Guests
Including lost children and people assisted by aides
If a minor or guest in need of supervision/assistance is separated from their support person, guardian or parent, please find the nearest volunteer for assistance, or head to the First Aid Station. Volunteers will have [MARKER] on their person.
Announcements may be made in order to reunite lost guests to their guardian or aide. For those able, we recommend determining in advance a designated meeting area within the grounds for the case of separation.
Lost and Found
Omens 2026: Season’s Change is not responsible for lost or stolen items. For help recovering items, guests should visit our information table for support. Guests should contact local authorities in the event of a crime.
Bags
Bags of any kind, baskets and backpacks may be subject to search by our security team and volunteers at the gate.
Smoking
Smoking is restricted to the Faire parking lot outside of the gates; the designated area can be found on the event map. For the health and safety of all attendees, smoking outside this area will result in temporary banishment from the Renaissance Faire
Alcohol
The consumption of alcohol on the grounds of the OMENS 2026 Renaissance Faire is prohibited. Public attendees are asked to refrain from bringing alcohol onto the Faire premises.
Purchasers of our Questing Passes (Amtgard or All-Access Pass) must announce and temporarily relinquish any outside alcohol to the staff at the Boar’s Head Tavern. Alcohol will be served to its owner at the discretion of the staff. Alcohol will not be served during public event hours: 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday, and 5pm-9pm Saturday. All relinquished alcohol will be returned upon the conclusion of the event Monday morning, or upon the departure of the adventurer.
Water
It is recommended that guests bring water bottles of any size. Reusable or camping cups are also recommended. Water stations at the event will have a limited number of cups available.
Food
It is not recommended that guests bring food that requires refrigeration. If there is a pressing need for food that requires such storage, the guests are responsible for taking appropriate measures to ensure their own nutrition.
Food that requires cooking is also discouraged for Faire guests. Use of fire or heated cooking elements is prohibited within the Renaissance Faire with the exception of food vendors. Vendors and questing pass holders may cook within the camping area.
This event will be photographed and recorded. Conditional to entering the Faire, guests grant the OMENS 2026 Renaissance Faire permission to record their video/audio, photograph, and film without compensation for any reason. Recording for commercial purposes is prohibited without explicit written consent from the OMENS Staff. Recording and filming equipment such as lights, tripods, or external microphones are not allowed inside the event without prior approval or the holding of a media pass.
Blades
We understand that blades of various sizes are used to complete costumes, cosplay, and garb. We require that blades be sheathed at all times to minimize the possibility of injury. Guests carrying open blades may be asked to sheath the blade or be escorted off the grounds. Unsheathing a blade, as well as aggressive or threatening behaviour while in possession of a weapon of any kind, will result in the contacting of local authorities.
Other Weaponry
As in keeping with the laws of Canada, concealed weapons of any kind are not allowed. Functional or replica guns are prohibited; props that bear a strong resemblance to or could be confused for firearms are prohibited.
Potential Hazards
Glass containers, excluding those containing necessary medications or other necessary items such as baby food, are discouraged. Any glassware you purchase at the Faire should be stored in a safe place.
The sale of goods and services or advertising and display of goods or services unaffiliated with the event.
Distribution of media to guests without approval of the management.
Feeding of animals, including wildlife.
Intentional harm or damage to the environment or venue.
Engaging in any unsafe act that may impede the event.
All guests and staff, including volunteers, vendors, employees, and organizers must adhere to all laws of British Columbia Canada.
We reserve the right to record, photograph and video guests. Media of this kind may be used for promotional purposes related to the Renaissance Faire, its future events, and future events related to “Amtgard International” and its local chapter “River Watch”.
We reserve the right to deny admission or expel any guest from the OMENS 2026 event without refund for any reason we determine to require such action, including for violations of our code of conduct.

NO FIRES! Kamloops and the surrounding area becomes VERY dry in the summer months and the risk of forest fire becomes extreme. Due to this, the province issues yearly fire bans to mitigate the risks. Propane fires are permitted with prior approval.
Bring water and sunscreen! Barriere summers can get very hot. So, it is highly advised to pack lots of hydration and sun protection for own comfort. Convenience stores are a quick drive away, if you need to resupply.
What you pack in is what you pack out! Please bring any trash, recycling, or other waste with you when you leave site. Please help to keep out site nice and clean!
PARKING will be clearly outlined. Questing passholders will be allowed on Friday and Sunday to bring their vehicles to their camping spots for set up/take down. Campers may keep their vehicles in their camping area.
(Note: Vehicles will not be permitted to drive through site during the event due to safety risks. The parking area is located near the entrance to the event and will allow you access to drive off site if needed)
The Barriere Rodeo Grounds has multiple bathrooms on site, as well as showers for those camping through out the weekend.
We have access to the fall fair hall (Boar's Head Tavern) for an indoor space, please contact the Auto-crat if you require indoors accommodations for special exceptions (limited availability)
Please be kind and refrain from littering, we like this site and would like to continue to utilize it in the future.
RV's are permitted with prior approval, space is limited so reach out to the crate team if you're planning on bringing a trailer. There are no water or electricity hookups for RVs.
There is power on site. Though it is always good ensure you have extra batteries for your flashlights and charging docks for your phones.
This wonderful site in nestled in the township of Barriere. Everything you need from groceries to motels is less than a 10 minute drive from the event.
There will be a variety of vendors selling trinkets, tinctures, and other fantasy essentials.
Bring your coin to haggle with the shoppes!
Questing pass holders will have access to the adventurers guild. A space for questers to rest and rejuvenate away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town square.
